Partner Team

Payments Advisory Group was founded in 2011 by Eddy Ouwendijk and Taco de Vries, who have been working together since the beginning of their careers at Interpay Netherlands (currently Equens). In 2013 Fred Bär joined the partner team, followed by Paul van der Valk in 2016.

 

Eddy Ouwendijk - founding partner

Eddy Ouwendijk started his professional career at Interpay Nederland (currently Equens) and held various management positions before joining Deloitte in 2007 as senior Manager at Capital Markets as part of Deloitte Financial Advisory Services. In 2010 Eddy left Deloitte to work as an independent contractor before starting the Payments Advisory Group with Taco de Vries in 2011.

Within Payments Advisory Group Eddy's main focus is on the corporate sector.

Taco de Vries - founding partner

Taco de Vries started his professional career at Interpay Nederland (currently Equens) and held various management and advisory positions before joining Atos Consulting in 2007. At Atos Taco acted as Principal Consultant and headed the Payments Practice within Financial Services.  In 2009 Taco left Atos to work as an independent contractor before starting the Payments Advisory Group with Eddy Ouwendijk in 2011.

Within Payments Advisory Group Taco's main focus is on the banking sector.

Fred Bär - partner

Fred Bär is a business executive with a broad background in general and functional management, and experienced in IT, marketing, consulting and business development. His professional carreer started at Shell, Digital Equipment (currently integrated in HP) and KPN before joining Interpay Nederland in 1999. Within Interpay Fred held various executive management positions (Chipknip, Giro payments, Marketing & Sales) and was part of the Interpay Management Team. In 2006 Fred left Interpay to work as an independent contractor in the international payments market. Fred joined the Payments Advisory Group in 2011 as an associate and joined the partnerteam in 2013.

Within Payments Advisory Group Fred's main focus is on the payment service providers.

Paul van der Valk - partner 

Paul van der Valk is a senior manager specialized in payments with a strong focus on clients and new developments in the international payments market. He has more than 15 years of experience with payments consultancies, banks and payments processors, leading strategy and product development of new payments services. He has worked for Capgemini financial services and IBM as senior Engagement Manager Payments for Global Business Services. In 2012 Paul joined Equens as the Department Manager Payments Product Management and Client Delivery and was acting as member of the Board of Directors of EACHA (European Automated Clearing House Association).

In 2016 Paul joined Payment Advisory Group as partner and is responsible to further grow the consultancy services to banks and payment processors.
