e-Payments

e-Payments are becoming increasingly popular with the strong growth in e-commerce and internet shopping. And at the same time, much innovation is focussed on a seamless shopping or payment experience for consumer. This is mostly created by making the payment part of the check-out process less prominent, and by that less burdensome for consumers, by linking the payments to other services.

Online payment solutions such as PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, MyBank, or local variants such as iDeal (The Netherlands), Giropay (Germany) or MrCash/Bancontact (Belgium) are all offering services in this domain, as are the international creditcard brands like Mastercard and Visa.

Even more innovation and competition is expected with the implementation of PSD2 and Access to the Acount.
